Flavor Profile
The Prospector Petite Sirah honors California’s famous Gold Rush, where hopeful prospectors flocked to the “Golden State” during the late 1840s, hoping to strike it rich. Today, California’s real bounty is its excellent wines, as you’ll taste with this full-bodied, black-fruited red.
Just as good prospectors kept their best mining sites a secret, our California expert, Kristina, had to sign an NDA to protect the source of this Petite Sirah. We can, however, tell you that it’s made with estate-grown fruit from a highly respected, fourth-generation winemaking family and the Mokelumne River district, an area known for producing concentrated, top-quality wines.
Look forward to abundant black-fruit flavors, supported by hints of warming baking spices. The palate is richly textured with firm tannins that make it a wonderful complement to juicy red meats, hearty pastas and other full-flavored dishes.
