Flavor Profile
Solante Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Teate is a juicy, ripe red wine from one of Italy’s oldest wine-growing regions, Chieti, in the heart of Abruzzo.
An ambitious winery just outside of Ortona, Nododivino combines modern innovations with the rich winemaking tradition of Chieti and the generational knowledge of its winemakers. Dedicated to producing high-quality wines that capture the essence of Abruzzo, they use cutting edge technologies (such as satellite survey systems) to get the most out of their vines, planted more than 40 years ago.
The grapes are grown in vineyards 650-feet above sea level, where they benefit from bright sunshine, rich clay soil and cooling mountain and sea breezes. This allows the grapes to ripen slowly, concentrating the flavors and providing the distinct minerality that Chieti is known for.
Solante Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Teate is filled with juicy blackberry, plum and licorice aromas, with hints of aromatic herbs. When tasted, it’s brimming with ripe red berries, black currants, cherries and plums, with underlying minerality and delicate, oaky spice thanks to 12 months aging in French oak barrels.
