The winery’s original Pillastro Primitivo is our #1 southern Italian red. Selezione d’Oro is even more luxurious––as you’ll taste from your very first sip. Handcrafted with old-vine Primitivo grapes sourced from the winery’s very best sites in Puglia, then given a splash of deep, dark Negroamaro, the wine was barrel aged for extra smoothness and complexity. In fact, the 45-year-old vines are so low yielding, it takes the fruit from an entire plant to make just a single bottle of Selezione d’Oro!
It's easy to see why founder Angelo Maci has been named Winemaker of the Year three times at Vinitaly.
