Lime Leaf Verdejo 2018

But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.
Introducing your new favorite aperitif. Lime Leaf is made from Verdejo, Spain’s ‘secret weapon’ grape. Known for crisp, citrus-infused flavors, Verdejo is a big hit with Sauvignon Blanc fans and, thanks to a tip-off from old friends (father and son winemakers, Julian and Javier Murúa), you get to taste this exhilarating white for yourself.
The Murúas, by the way, are responsible for our best-selling Barón de Barbón Rioja. Javier has excellent contacts all over Spain, and hearing of a cellar that had a little extra juice, he let us know. Clear proof of the virtue of having ‘in the know’ friends. Strict wine laws in the premium Rueda region (home to Spain’s crispest and priciest whites) limit how much wine producers can make. This insiders-only white is crafted from ‘declassified’ grapes, so you you’re enjoying fine Rueda quality at a much friendlier price.
What else can you look forward to? Give it a swirl to release delicate lime grove aromas. Next, a mouthwatering burst of fresh citrus fruit flavors – ripe lemon, abundant lime and a hint of grapefruit. Bring on the oysters (or any citrus-dressed seafood).
Order your share of this exciting Spanish white to enjoy perfect refreshment and fantastic value.
