Beyond the Label

Le Champ des Etoiles (‘field of stars’) is the handiwork of the talented Mark Hoddy—made in the image of top-notch Burgundy, but with a southern French twist. It has a balance of juicy freshness and ripe fruit flavor that keeps you coming back for more.

Every year, this ‘star’ wins critical acclaim and raves from customers. The tasting panel for France's prestigious Gilbert & Gaillard wine guide awarded the previous release a gold medal and wrote, “Beautiful ruby-red with crimson highlights. Nose of red and black fruits with sweet spice touches. Generous, robust yet silky attack. Wonderful fusion of Pinot Noir and this sun-ripened Languedoc vineyard site.”

The aforementioned site? Torquebiau, a tiny vineyard in the Coteaux du Languedoc, close to the phenomenal Mas de Daumas Gassac estate. Made with fruit from this special plot, the wine has all of Pinot Noir’s signatures: Ripe strawberry and red currant aromas with hints of sweet spice that unfold into juicy raspberry and crisp white cherry on the palate. Enjoy as a lightly chilled aperitif, or pair with grilled salmon, roasted turkey and more.
