Prosecco remains our customers' best-loved bubbly, great to serve whatever the whim! This new arrival has full Spumante sparkle. From winemaker Alessio Rossetto, it offers ripe peach and pear notes carried on a wave of creamy bubbles.


Sometimes an occasion just calls out for some extra sparkle. And whether it's a night at home or a full-on party, Prosecco always pleases. Lustrato is a classic with a delightful creamy mousse of bubbles. It's made by winemaker Alessio Rossetto with the Prosecco region's prized grape, Glera.

Pop the cork and look forward to lovely aromas of ripe apricot and lemon. On the palate, expect a persistent stream of bubbles accompanied by flavors of peach, ripe apple and pear with an excellent lemony freshness.

Prosecco is the world’s best-selling bubbly, but did you know that northern Italian locals have a different favorite fizz?

Our local expert Leo tells us they sip sparkling (aka spumante) Ribolla Gialla by the case-load. This exciting bubbly is still rare in the U.S., but lucky for you, Leo convinced the Anselmi family to share Capisco with our customers. And we think you’re going to love it as much as the locals do.

Brothers Giuseppe and Luigi Anselmi make top-notch wines at their family estate, which was founded by their father, Ettore, in 1928. It’s located in northern Italy’s Friuli region, home to some of the country’s freshest whites. The Ribolla Gialla grape is a big star here—and one sip of Capisco (meaning ‘I understand’ in Italian) will show you why.

Presented in a striking, curved bottle, it’s beautifully fresh and crisp, with lively bubbles plus delicate floral and vibrant citrus fruit notes. This dry sparkler is a great match for food, and pairs well with everything from fried chicken to classic antipasto and fresh seafood dishes.

Capisco Ribolla Gialla Spumante

From Puglia’s renowned Cantine Due Palme and talented winemaker Francesco Fortunato Maci (grandson of the legendary Angelo Maci) comes this elegant and complex alternative to Prosecco.

The three-time Italian Winery of the Year Cantine Due Palme makes some of our best-selling southern Italian reds (like Pillastro), but winemaker Francesco Fortunato Maci wanted to prove they could also craft a fine sparkler. And just like that, the appple- and pear-flavored Altestelle Spumante was born.

Altestelle is crafted from Negroamaro, a red grape with high acidity that imparts unparalleled vibrancy and structure to its bubbles. The wine is white in color, because Francesco doesn’t let the red grape skins mingle with the juice. Offering more complexity and finesse than Prosecco, it has a persistent mousse, wonderful freshness and just a whisper of sweetness.
