Beyond the label

“Brilliant...precise with enormous length and silky tannins. A rich expression.”
Decanter World Wine Awards judges on Hervé’s 2015 Reserva

Bordeaux native Hervé Fabre makes some of our most popular Argentine reds. (It’s not just the wines that win awards—Hervé was recognized as Winemaker of the Year at the 2018 International Wine Challenge.)

And you’ve got insider access to his gorgeous Cabernet Franc Reserva. The inaugural release won 95 points and a BIG trophy at the Decanter World Wine Awards (see the tasting note above), and the new 2019 release is ready to impress...

A Bordeaux native just like Hervé, Cabernet Franc takes on a lusher, more velvety style in Argentina—as you’ll taste here. After one year in fine French oak barrels, Hervé’s Reserva offers pure elegance. Look forward to aromas of dark red fruits and a touch of mint on the nose. The palate’s fresh and well structured with luxurious black-fruit flavors and a lengthy finish.

What do you eat with a lovely Cab Franc like this? Hervé suggests lean beef tenderloin, roasted with bell peppers and onions. We tried it (and loved it) with beef- and quinoa-stuffed bell peppers and eggplant casseroles would also be tasty.

One last insider tip: Cabernet Franc is the next big thing coming out of Argentina. Secure your share before the rest of the world catches on.
