Beyond the Label

Our Italy expert has long been a fan of Feudi di San Gregorio – and he’s not alone. It’s renowned for being among Italy’s first modern wineries to champion the Campania region’s stunning native grapes. And it also boasts a long history of 90+ point scores from the likes of The Wine Advocate and top critic James Suckling. So, naturally, we were thrilled when the team offered to produce this exclusive red for our customers.

Feudi del Vulcano is crafted with 100% Aglianico – “one of the world’s greatest grape varieties,” writes Ian D’Agata on Vinous.com. Campania’s fantastic 2016 vintage is on full display here: look for deliciously ripe, black-fruit aromas and flavors, underpinned by classic notes of licorice and spice. Firm tannins introduce a lingering, ripe-fruited finish, and make this red a delicious partner for roasted meats or hearty pasta dishes.

When Feudi del Vulcano arrives, be sure to check out the gorgeous label. The design was inspired by the ancient mosaic tiles unearthed around nearby Mount Vesuvius. These treasures might have been buried during the volcano’s famous eruption over Pompeii, but they’ve been rediscovered now – and perfectly preserved under the volcanic rock!

Secure your share today and prepare to impress your guests – from the historic, artful label on the bottle to the rich, exclusive wine inside.
