Enclos de la Clarière 2023
If you love the rich, velvety black fruit and oaky complexity of Saint-Émilion’s finest Grands Crus Classés, but not the price tag, try a bottle of Enclos. All Merlot, it’s from a single vineyard right next door, lavishly cask-aged to perfection.

Beyond the Label

At Château La Clarière they’re blessed with 50 different vineyard plots, all located on the superb limestone plateau that’s home to both Saint-Émilion’s and Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux’s finest wines.

The grapes for Enclos de la Clarière come from a single vineyard literally less than 20 feet from Saint-Émilion’s priciest Grands Crus Classés. It’s a stunning vineyard surrounded by wild hedgerows, shrubs and dotted with trees—Château La Clarière’s most biodiverse vineyard, and farmed organically too. This creates grapes with immense depth and ripeness, without losing Bordeaux’s classic structure and freshness.

Enclos is made purely with Merlot, carefully fermented on the La Clarière estate, with a year’s ageing in both new and seasoned French oak barrels. A very fine, velvety claret—open early and decant. It will make a very delicious partner to roast red meats or a cheeseboard.
