Domaine de Longuet Merlot 2024

Flavor Profile
If you like smooth, fruit-filled reds, Domaine de Longuet Merlot will win you over from the first glass. The charming pick from the south of France bursts with the ripest summer berry and stone fruit flavors.
It comes from Pays d’Oc, which Decanter calls a “treasure-trove for fascinating wines and dynamic producers.” With plenty of sunshine––and fewer winemaking rules than more famous appellations––it’s the perfect playground for talented winemakers like Arthur Gourdon. His family’s 18th-century estate lies along the banks of the UNESCO-listed Canal du Midi, in the town of Capestang, where warm Mediterranean days and cooling ocean breezes encourage the grapes to reach the peak of ripeness.
The resulting wine captures the fruitiness and expressiveness for which the region’s wines are known. In the glass, expect a deep ruby-purple color, with aromas and flavors of cherry, ripe berries and subtle hints of plum. It’s a superb glass solo, and an even better match for burgers, steak and roasted vegetables.
Enjoy it now for its fresh, juicy charm––or tuck a few bottles away for mellowing. A word to the wise…one bottle won’t be enough. Order your share now.
