Beyond the Label

Création d'Émilie B Châteauneuf-du-Pape is an opulent, rich and spicy Rhône red with some serious acclaim and seriously deep roots.

The story begins in 1777, when Jean-Louis Boisson married into the Chambellan family, officially establishing Domaine du Père Caboche. Today, it’s one of the region’s oldest, continuously operated, family-run estates and continues to make what wine critic Robert Parker calls “enormously delicious” wines.

But it’s no surprise the top critic is so smitten. The majority of the Boisson family’s vines are strung across the legendary Le Crau plateau, next to icons like Vieux Télégraphe and Bonneau, while their other vineyards have prestigious neighbors such as Saint Préfert and Clos des Papes—very good company indeed.

With the latest generation (Emilie) now at the helm, the wines are tasting more beautiful than ever. Here, you can expect perfumed floral aromas and a complexity of raspberry and peppery herbs to come across in the supple, barely tannic palate. As with the classic cuvée, it’s more about finesse and elegance.

Order while you can—stocks won't last.
