Beyond the Label

Northern Italy’s Piedmont region produces some of the country’s finest wines. Its prized red grape variety, Nebbiolo, is the key to most of its reds, and is often intended for years of aging. But if you’re (like us) not in the mood to wait, we have great news: Winemaker Marco Martino’s fruit-forward Cossaro Monferrato is meant to be uncorked and sipped immediately.

Marco works alongside the Sartirano family, who have made quality wines in Piedmont since 1871, selecting perfectly ripe grapes from their well-situated vineyards in Monferrato. Back at the winery—which has been certified sustainable by Equalitas and rated one of Forbes Italia’s “Top 100 Food & Wine Excellences”—Marco crafted a wine that’s fresh, elegant and ready to enjoy.

Look forward to delicate violet aromas, plus a palate of ripe plum flavors and subtle toasty spice notes. Marco recommends serving it alongside truffle risotto or roasted red meats.

As with all our premium Piedmont wines, we expect Cossaro to be in high demand. Hurry for your share.
