Château Sixtine Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 2023

Flavor Profile
White Châteauneuf-du-Pape is pretty special and Château Sixtine Blanc is a seriously fine example. Full-bodied and charismatic, with heady floral and stone fruit aromas, and a palate of ripe fruits baked into toasty brioche, it's a bottle you won't want to miss.
The wine from the cellars of the legendary Diffonty family, who’ve been Rhône Valley winegrowers since 1673. We go way back with current proprietor Jean-Marc Diffonty (below), which is a very good thing for you.
He always sets aside a small parcel of his luscious Châteauneuf-du-Pape blanc—"one of the rarest and most prestigious wines in France," according to Forbes—for us. Previous vintages have won serious acclaim—like a pair of 90-point ratings from Rhône expert Jeb Dunnuck and Decanter, plus a 92-point rave from Wine Spectator. After tasting the just-landed 2023 release, we can confirm that it’s equally impressive.
You can expect lively aromas of white peach, honeysuckle and orange blossom to pour into a palate of more white peach, plus ripe star fruit and spiced pear interlaced with yeasty accents.
If you’re lucky, we won’t be sold out by the time you click Add to Cart. And if you score some, try matching it with roasted chicken or a plate of your favorite cheeses (we like mild blues like Bleu d’Auvergne).
