Bowhead Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
Washington produces a uniquely intense, ripe-fruited style of Cabernet, and the best examples come from the Columbia Valley. Showing off the quality of the 2017 vintage, Bowhead overflows with vibrant black currant flavor and a classic dusty note.
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.

Beyond the Label

American Cabernet leapt onto the world stage with the signature reds from California. But Washington has built a stellar reputation for itself, too, with delicious, great-value Cabs—and the excellent 2017 vintage is full of wines with “considerable elegance and purity” (critic Jeb Dunnuck).

Taste for yourself with this new discovery from the premium Columbia Valley region. It's an ideal spot for growing Cabernet, and sits on the same latitude as Bordeaux (which is famed for its Cab-Merlot blends). Out in the wild open space, the sunny growing season makes for remarkably ripe flavors. Nearby, the regal Bowhead whales (for which this free-spirited red is named) can be spotted in the northern Pacific Ocean.

Look forward to juicy fruit aromas with a subtle dusty nuance (a trademark of Washington reds) and a full-bodied wine that delivers wave upon wave of sumptuous berry and blackcurrant flavor. It’s a perfect partner for smoked meats and thick-cut steak.

If you’ve never had a Washington Cab, this is a fantastic place to start (and sure to satisfy if you already have).
