Le Champ des Etoiles Pinot Noir 2019

But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.

Flavor Profile
Le Champ des Etoiles (‘field of stars’) is the handiwork of the talented Mark Hoddy – made in the image of top-notch Burgundy, but with a southern French twist – i.e. a balance of juicy freshness and ripe fruit flavor that keeps you coming back for more.
Every year, this ‘star’ wins critical acclaim and raves from customers. (The tasting panel for France's prestigious Gilbert & Gaillard wine guide gave a previous vintage a gold medal and this lovely tasting note: “Beautiful, sustained vibrant red appearance. Small ripe red fruit on the nose. On the palate, a fruity, crunchy, style. A wine for grilled meats and charcuterie.”) And the 2019 release is every bit as classy.
While on the hunt for the perfect Pinot paradise, Mark stumbled upon Torquebiau – a tiny vineyard in the Coteaux du Languedoc, close to the phenomenal Mas de Daumas Gassac estate. After Mark’s kid-glove treatment in the winery, the wine bursts with Pinot Noir’s characteristic red fruit aromas and flavors and signature silky texture. Look for ripe strawberry and red currant aromas, with hints of sweet spice. Juicy raspberry and crisp white cherry unfold on the palate, with a refreshing finish. Enjoy as a lightly chilled aperitif, or pair with grilled salmon, roasted turkey, and more.
